These pictures are from the 2007 TVC Mission Trip to Missouri which we took August 15-19.  This area was hit with an F4 tornado, April 2, 2006.  There are a few families that are still in need of work done.  We arrived Wednesday morning and started working after driving all night. The temp ran from 104 to 111...actual, not heat index!  We dry walled one whole house with a little plumbing and electrical thrown in. (Picture 5 is the woman whose house was dry walled). 

 

There were another couple who, with this heat, was in a crawl space for 2 1/2 days doing plumbing for a woman who was living in her home with no water, sinks or toilet.  After they completed this, we bought her a toilet and bathroom vanity and sink.  They left her with running water. (Picture 6 is Melissa Jorgensen in the crawlspace she and Kevin spent two days in)  Another job was putting kitchen cabinets in and we also moved a mother from a FEMA home to her new apartment. This was a very humbling experience...it makes you really look at your life and how much you take for granted.  These women lost everything they owned and still praised God.  How amazing.

Another exciting and fun softball season was had by by all!
